hybris, the world’s fastest-growing commerce platform provider, today announced that for the second year running it has been included as a Leader in Gartner’s latest ‘Magic Quadrant for E-Commerce’ (dated 8 May 2013). Following substantial growth in 2011, hybris has further consolidated its position as the market’s dominant independent e-commerce and omni-channel vendor which it believes has helped to achieve its leadership placement in the Gartner report.
“Given the size of our next two biggest competitors, we believe our placement in the report confirms that hybris represents the most compelling e-commerce and omni-channel solution available in the market today,” said Ariel Luedi, CEO of hybris. “Both our larger competitors, and smaller-sized vendors, struggle to compete with us on performance, value and functionality. In the next twelve months, we look forward to increasing our market share and building on the gains we made in 2012.”
According to the Gartner report; “Organizations are focused on optimizing their e-commerce application portfolios, consolidating the B2B and B2C applications with a single underlying platform serving B2B and B2C customer’s needs. Enterprises are critical in their evaluation and are increasing their preferences to shortlist platforms that can support B2B and B2C requirements. B2B e-commerce is beginning to resemble the B2C experience more closely, with business customers expecting a user experience with dynamic catalogs, recommendation engines and personalization similar to or better than what they are getting from their favourite consumer sites. Companies in high tech, industrial and manufacturing, business services, life sciences and financial services are creating e-commerce sites to replicate and, in some cases, replace a direct sales or indirect sales experience, and to provide their customers with a 24/7 online sales presence.”
