Acer just announced three Vero projectors, designed to equip businesses and consumers with high-performing energy-efficient projectors while providing more options to reduce their ecological footprint. With their 30,000-hour lifespan, the new Vero projectors bring in superior laser light technology for crystal-clear images and long-lasting brightness for an extended duration, helping save on the total cost of ownership and power consumption. These mercury-free projectors also incorporate green materials by using 50% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic in the chassis and recycled paper packaging to reduce the production of harmful materials and limit their impacts on the environment.
Building on the success of the Acer Vero PD2325W, the new eco-conscious projectors have transitioned to using an advanced laser light source for increased brightness and improved energy efficiency. As a result, these “Green But Mean” projectors provide eight times less brightness decay while consuming approximately 50% less power in comparison to traditional lamp-based projectors, reducing the total cost of ownership while inflicting less harm to the environment. Maintenance and replacement costs are also significantly reduced with their 30,000-hour lifespan, making it an ideal and reliable choice for high-frequency use.
Equipped with a dynamic 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio and a 4,000 ANSI and 3,500 ANSI lumens brightness respectively, the Acer Vero PL2520i and XL2220/XL2320W projectors can produce vivid and precise images from long distances and in dark surroundings. These also feature Acer ColorBoost3D technology and accurately reproduce 93% of the Rec. 709 color gamut, delivering superior color production and display as compared to lamp models. Acer’s tailor-made Football mode and HDMI 3D[1] specifications also make for stunning and enhanced big-screen projection, whether in a meeting room or in the comfort of your own home.
